About Us

As a leader in the field of nervous system education, Jessica Maguire helps people to recover from chronic stress and trauma, and move from survival mode into a space where they can thrive. We’re growing rapidly with 180k Instagram followers and a number of online programs combining cutting-edge neuroscience with practical tools and techniques. Our students are both individuals doing it for themselves, and health professionals/ teachers/ coaches who use the knowledge to help their clients.

 

This is a permanent part-time position for 20 hours per week. We are based in Northern NSW, Australia but this position is open to remote candidates. We would prefer you are Australian-based or with significant time zone overlap, as much of the work we do is collaborative.

About the Role

 

This role has two focus areas:
  • our front-end (follower) community, especially on Instagram and also email 
  • our back-end (student) community

 

You will be on the front line managing communications for each of these groups, ensuring a high level of quality and branding consistency. You’ll also be responsible for identifying and pursuing strategic growth opportunities including PR, collaborations and affiliate partnerships. Operating across multiple systems including our student portal, email ticketing system and social media accounts, it’s important that you are detail-oriented and a systems thinker.

Key Responsibilities 
  • Oversee the end-to-end customer experience across all channels, ensuring quality and branding consistency 

  • Set up and support with hosting live Zoom webinars

  • Program and Alumni community management - foster engagement by posting videos and updates, asking stimulus questions, responding to student posts, etc

  • Create strategic content to generate buzz and engagement in the community - come up with ideas and execute them via Canva, or you can work with our in-house designer to deliver more complex pieces of content.

  • Update and refine processes based on your observations in the community - we need to run a very tight ship in order to scale

  • Lead our customer service operation - training and development,monitor output, write canned responses, establish systems and processes to maintain consistency 

  • Respond to Instagram and Facebook comments and DMs

  • Respond to incoming emails from students and followers

  • Manage and filter incoming collaboration requests 

  • Identify and pursue strategic growth opportunities including collabs, PR and affiliate partnerships

 

Key Skills
  • Exceptional communication skills - you’re an excellent listener and highly articulate

  • Tertiary qualifications and professional experience in Communications, PR or similar

  • Empathetic, sensitive and emotionally mature. Personal responsibility is important in our team. You’re self-aware and have done a considerable amount of personal growth work.

  • Strong people management skills and experience leading remote teams

  • Direct experience managing online communities and driving engagement 

  • Social media management - you know Insta like the back of your hand 

  • Well presented and comfortable on camera - you will be hosting Zoom webinars as well as recording video content for our community. You need to be confident to do this efficiently and to a high standard.

  • Highly organised and ability to manage and prioritise a high volume of tasks

  • Comfortable working in an environment of change and growth
